At the right time, I, the Lord, will make it happen. (Isaiah 60:22, NLT)
My first book, Kentucky Family, was an experiment, really… a chance to see if I could actually accomplish the goal of writing a book, plus preserve some priceless family memories.
My second book, Waverly, was the book I always wanted to write. Historical fiction, inspired by true events, full of “what ifs” and mystery.
I am THRILLED to announce that I have just finished the first draft of my third book, His Timing. This one is special. This book is the one I had to write. I felt like I had absolutely no choice in the matter. I was already working on another historical fiction novel when my world was turned upside down on January 5, 2020. The journey I’ve been on since then is one of heartache, determination, faith, and miracles, and one that simply had to be shared.
Now, the really hard part begins. The editing and revising process can take a long time. I will most likely go through several rounds of editing and revising before the book is ready for publication. However, I am determined to get it finished as soon as possible. This is a message of hope that someone needs to hear, and I feel a strong sense of urgency to get it out there so whoever needs to hear it can find it.
I am so blessed by the love and support my family and I have received this year. This has been a tough road, but I am so thankful we haven’t traveled it alone. ❤
