It seems like it’s been a long time coming, but if there’s anything God has taught me over the past year and a half, it’s that His timing is always best.
I feel a lot of mixed emotions about this book launch. I’m excited, but also anxious. Writing a book about your own experience requires a vulnerability that most people don’t even think about. I’ve done it before with my first book, Kentucky Family, but this one was a much different experience. Writing about some of the most difficult things I’ve ever faced forced me to relive some very dark days. However, reflecting on the past year and a half also allowed me to see with fresh eyes the miracles of God’s healing power in my life.
Many people are unsure about what exactly happened to me last year and what my prognosis is. I hope this book helps others understand my experience, but more importantly, I hope it helps them learn a little more about the God who has been with me every step of the journey.
The Cover
One thing I am especially excited about is that my daughter took the clock photo and used photo editing software to design the cover of this book. She is so creative, and I love that she used her talents to help with this project!
The clock on the cover actually hangs on our living room wall. When I was in the hospital my husband spent many lonely nights watching it, wondering what I was doing and what our future would look like.

What’s next?
Yes, I’m already thinking about my next writing project. LOL
My current plan is to return to the novel I was working on prior to my health issues and the pandemic. It’s a historical crime novel based on events that took place about an hour north of Owensboro in the 1920s and 30s. I am also toying with the idea of writing a companion Bible study for His Timing, which would take a deeper dive into the scripture passages I refer to in the book.
As always, thank you so very much for supporting this crazy writing dream of mine. 🙂
